Profit, Inc. was founded in 1970.
Since this time, it has seen its membership
fluctuate from 20 to 80 and back again.
We are at a point where growth is
critically needed to sustain us. More members gives Profit the opportunity to offer
more advantages and rewards to its membership. As membership increases so
do opportunities, referrals, and sales for its members.
Every member needs to take the time every month to review who they do business
with (both professionally and personally) and invite someone they feel would be a
benefit to our group.
If you are uncertain as to the category that they would
qualify under, ask one of the Board members for assistance.
Our Board would
also be happy to send out a formal invitation to someone to join us for our
networking lunches. Give us the contact information.

PROPOSED CHANGES TO PROFIT, INC. BYLAWS

Article VII - Deals with the Board of Directors/Officers
Section 2:
The officers of Profit, Inc., shall be president, a Vice President and a Secretary/Treasurer.
The officers of Profit, Inc., shall be President, a Vice President, a Secretary, and a Treasurer.
Section 5:
The Secretary/Treasurer shall keep such records as the Board may prescribe, and such accounts as may be necessary;
shall serve as custodian of such funds and other property of the Corporation as the Board may direct, and perform
other duties as the Board of Directors may prescribe.

meeting and prepare them for reading at the next Board meeting. The Secretary will perform other duties as the
Board of Directors may prescribe.
The Treasurer shall keep such records as the Board may prescribe and such accounts as may be necessary. He or she
will serve as custodian of funds and other property of the Corporation as the Board may direct. The treasurer will
review the financial reports given to him or her by the accountant and give the financial report to the Board at each
Board meeting.
Article VIII - Deals with the election and terms of the Board of Directors
Section 4:
At the first meeting of each new Board of Directors, said Board shall elect, by a majority vote from among their own
membership, members to serve as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer.

MEMBERSHIP HAS ITS RESPONSIBILITIES...

Profit, Inc. is not a social club. It is a networking business group. Members agreed to the Bylaws upon acceptance
into this group. The bylaws have only a few requirements for its membership but sometimes it is good to review them
and make sure that everyone is in compliance.
Article III, Section 11 asks that all members or their alternates attend all Profit functions.
Article V, Section 2 asks that all members give a vocational talk on their business when called upon to do so.
Article V, Section 3 asks that members host an open house with a minimum of 1 every 3 years.
Article VI, Section 2 requires members to pay their monthly dues in advance of the first of each month.
Remember that you not only help the group but your business as well, when you stay involved and active. Other
members will remember you and refer you when they know you better.
