Student Learning Goals (List desired learning goals, and your plans to meet them, for the next weeks clinical
experience. Goals should be based on identified performance issues and the desire for new knowledge and
experiences.)
This week I was able to experience having three patients at once. It was more difficult
but it showed me that I need to manage my time better. This clinical rotation at Carroll
Hospital I felt more confident in medication administration and my assessment skills. I
was also able to shadow nurses and observe the different fields. I observed the nurses
communicate with each other and the doctors and I have a better understanding of
how many people play a part in patient care.
Preceptor/Instructor comments/ Student Learning Goals: (**If an item was identified as N or U, narrative
comments are necessary to clarify student performance**)
Kristen began her clinical rotation with very minimal communication with the fellow staff and me. As the weeks
continued her communication improved and she became very comfortable with her prioritization and her patient care.
Kristen medication administration is very thorough. She also many wonderful experiences in her shadowing throughout
the hospital. This has overall been a very successful clinical rotation for Kristen.
