Procedure:*
1. Pass*out*the*Think*Pair*Share*Sheet*and*have*students*write*their*name*on*it.*
2. Read*aloud*the*book*until*page*9.*Then*stop*and*have*students*write*on*their*sheet*
about*what*they*think*the*Lorax*is*and*what*they*think*happened*to*him.*
3. Share*in*partners*and*then*take*volunteers*as*a*whole*class.*
4. Continue*to*read*aloud*until*page*23.*Stop*and*ask*students*What*do*you*predict*
the*Once-ler*will*do*with*those*trees?*
5. Share*in*partners*and*then*have*volunteers*share*as*a*whole*class.*
6. Continue*to*read*aloud*until*page*27.*Stop*and*ask*students*How*does*the*authors*
description*of*the*Lorax*help*you*understand*the*story?*What*do*you*predict*the*
problem*will*be?*
7. Share*in*partners*and*then*have*volunteers*share*as*a*whole*class.*
8. Continue*to*read*aloud*until*page*43.*Stop*and*ask*students*Should*the*Once-ler*
