OBSERVATIONS/REFLECTIONS: What are children excited about?

Kindness and Respect

Reading, Songs, helping each other, and sharing

What intentions/hopes do you have for children this week? That the infants will learn to share more and have "nice hands".

teachers. Talk about hugs
and how they feel. Give
hugs.

Blow kisses to friends,

everyone nicely.

Exploring the mirror on


the wall and seeing
yourself and friends.

Talk about polite words


such as "Please" and
"Thank you", sign them
as well.

Clap in patterns and say


different feelings words.

LARGE GROUP TIME


The opportunity to set the stage for the
day and to create a positive, supportive
classroom community, talk about
weekend experiences and family events

is short and quick

Art: Using a heart shaped


sponge, the infants can
explore the red paint while
imprinting their paper with
red hearts all over and
squeeze the sponge. Teacher
talks about what it means to
love and be loving towards
others.

Give "Kindness
Streamers" to each child
and dance to music and
practice sharing.
