TECHNICAL WRITING

Course Overview

COURSE DESCRIPTION
This

course focuses on the practical and


skillful application of formal composition in
various professional fields (i.e. commerce,
business, industries and the likes).
It encompasses pertinent topics that permit
the blending of conventional and modern
views anchored to equip the students with
fundamental knowledge in writing business
correspondence, documentation and other
technical reports presented in a systematic,
logical, scientific and comprehensible format.

COURSE OUTCOMES / OBJECTIVES


At

the end of the semester, the


students are expected to:
Compose

various types of resumes,


business proposals, office correspondence,
technical reports and graphical
documentation / analyses;
Familiarize with the essential concepts,
methods and techniques in constructing
the aforementioned pieces of writing;
