Current statistic

Probable reason for success/failure

to meet goal

Bus Training

1. 90 % of clients are
bus trained within
two weeks of arrival.

1. 94% of clients were bus

trained within two weeks
of arrival.

Use of bus trainers from language

communities and interns has
increased ability to train new arrivals
faster. Giving clients a bus pass at
intake has increased clients
independently riding the bus without
staff assistance.

Cultural
Orientation to the
United States

1. 95% of clients
complete CO classes
within the first 90
days of arrival.

1. 98% of clients have

completed CO within the
first 90 days of arrival.
64% of those completed
CO within their first 30
days.

More and more clients are receiving

CO earlier as requested by our
agreements with the our grant
providers, however instances of
clients issues with the law and
challenges in adaptation have
increased. This leads me to believe
that CO needs to be more consistent
over time and should be examined.

Health Orientation

3. Decrease ER visits as
a result of health
orientations.

Employment

employed within 6
months.
2. 75% of clients
maintain employment
for 3 months.
3. 25% of clients will be
employed with
medical benefits.
4. The average wage
will be $9.50.
5. 75% of clients will be
off of public
assistance by one
year.
6. Connect and work
with 30 employers to

adults.
2. All clients scored
higher than 75% on
their post-test health
orientation measure

but Case Managers and
Refugee Health Care
Coordinator reported
dealing with less ER
bills in the last year.

program. Some quarters were lower
than others due to the seasonal
economy but overall more clients
were employed, at higher wages, and
more consistently than previously

ER bills may have decreased due to

client enrollment in Affordable Care
Act and Medicaid instead of previous

of Education & Employment into one
team and in one location to create
more continuity between classes and

However, one measure that is below

is medical benefits and this is
speculated to be tied to the lack of
current partnerships with businesses
that provide medical benefits.
