I am writing to you concerning an opportunity to co-sponsor a business organization at NC State
University. Collegiate DECA is a student driven organization that values competence,
innovation, integrity, and teamwork. We help prepare students for careers by integrating skills
learned in the classroom into real world experiences. DECAs programs assist in developing
academically prepared, community oriented, and professionally responsible, experienced leaders.
A large part of DECAs success is contributed to professional speakers and professional
development opportunities for our members. We often pair up with AMA (American Marketing
Association) as well as Beta Kappa Psi to host competitive events that are judged by local
professionals and to facilitate networking events between companies and our members. These
networking events will allow your company the chance to access key talent and recruit from a
wide pool of professional and academically inclined student leaders.
In November 2015 and April 2016 our chapter will be traveling to New York City as well as
Washington DC to participate in DECAs International Career Development Conference.
Attendees of ICDC will compete against students from across the country, and participate in
career and leadership academies. One of our goals is to reduce the high cost of this trip for our
full time student members. With your sponsorship, we will have the ability to provide funding
for the new and existing DECA members who will be attending this conference.
Not only will your sponsorship help us achieve our goal of competing in professional
development opportunities, but it will allow your company the chance to partner with us by
being a speaker, judge, or the chance to participate in one of our networking events which will
give you exclusivity in talent recruitment. Your sponsorship will also result in your company
name being displayed on DECAs banner which will hang in the hallways of Poole College of
Management as well as your company name on our 2015-2016 T-shirts that we will be wearing
around campus and to competitive events nationwide.
