Allison collaboratively develops lesson plans that are clearly aligned with the Virginia SOLs and school division's
learning objectives. She is on track with learning to appropriately differentiate instruction for the multiple and diverse
learning needs within her placement classroom. She should continue to refine her pacing strategies to ensure that all
learning objectives are met in a timely fashion so that student make adequate yearly progress.

Allison does very well with engaging students during small group instruction. She continues to refine her large group
engagement skills as it becomes increasingly more difficult to meet the learning needs of all students in the whole group
setting. As she becomes increasingly better at differentiating instruction in this setting, students will become more
engaged.

and implementing high-quality assessment tools at the classroom level. She should also provide me with evidence of
such during my school site visits so that I might provide the most accurate evaluation rating in this area.

During my site visits, there were no glaring behavioral issues observed. Students were adequately engaged in learning
activities. Allison should continue to work on providing smooth transitions from one activity to the next by clearly stating
her expectations in an authoritative tone.

Allison is making adequate progress in the area of professionalism as related to the above criteria. She desires to
improve as a pre-service educator. She is gaining in confidence each week. As she continues to become more
confident in her abilities as an educator, I believe she will tend to reach out for help when needed; realizing that all of us
had to start as beginning teachers and that reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of strength.

Now that Allison's instructional planning and delivery are well in hand, she should begin to focus more on gathering,
documenting, and communicating student progress in a meaningful way. She should be intentional about seeking
guidance from her 2nd placement cooperating teacher in how best to do this at the classroom level and then provide me
with evidence as to what she is doing in regards to using student learning data at the classroom level.
