INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

List specific start and end dates (7/1/2015 to 6/30/2018). Provide a brief overview
of the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEAs
website.

Community at large:

Computer Teacher: Mevlut Kaymaz
Other Stakeholders :
Parents, District superintendent, Cluster IT manager, Small businesses,
Volunteer PTO members, Coaches from UT-Dallas.
All the people above participated to the Bi-weekly meeting at the Hsb campus
and we noticed how it is important to improve our schools technology for our
students.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.


The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools.
Question 1: What technology is currently available to all teachers?
Teachers will be provided technology tools like;
Answer 1: IPad, laptop, printer, projectors, electronic calculator,
Question 2: How does technology assist teachers and principals with their
administrative tasks, attendance and grading?
Answer 2: Teachers are currently using Database program which include
grading, taking attendance, uploading discipline issues, checking students
private information, students` homework, teachers can attach homework parents
to see online.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
Question 1; Is technology currently available to all students?
Answer 1; It depends.
K-7th grades can use school computers at the campus.
8th-11th grades have their own chrome books they can take home.
Question 2;How is technology being used by students in the library media center
and labs?
Answer 2; Our school administrative already scheduled for the K-7th grade to
use computer labs during the school days. 8th 11th grades they have already 5
hours lab in school. They use their own chrome books during lab times.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
Question1: Are targets for improvement in student achievement being met?
Answer 1: Our school met standard rating Texas accountability in 2014.
Question 2: If an identified need, how will distance learning, including online
Advanced Placement courses, expand content offerings and/or access to K12
classes?
Answer 2: Our school offers students to follow online supplemental courses as
well for all K-11 grades. K-3rd grades can do online reading eggs, Eggspress, Go
Math. 4th-5th Study Island for science, 5th 10th Aleks for Math.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address


Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
Question 1: How are students using online communication technologies,
including but not limited to social networking and instant messaging?
Answer 1: There will be provided an e mail address for each student by school
admins. Students can communicate with his her teachers or class mates using
those email address.
Question 2: How is access to only appropriate educational online resources
accomplished?
Answer 2: Our school will access students to use on their chrome book or at the
campus only permitted web sites.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and


integration skills and needs for professional development.
Question 1: What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for
professional development?
Answer 1: After professional development (PD) meeting we decided to improve
our teachers` technological skills. We will put one section in next PD for teachers
how to use chrome book with some soft wares in educational area.
Question 2: After collecting and analyzing professional development needs, what
are the local, regional, and online professional development opportunities to
meet identified needs?
Answer 2: We noticed during the PD almost all K-11th grades teachers will
participate regional technological workshops, meetings, and local school wide
support from IT manager.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
Question 1: How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided ongoing support in the effective integration of technology into the curriculum?
Answer 1: All teacher and administrators will be trained by district IT manager
during professional development (PD) day.
Question2: What professional learning will be available so teachers and
administrators can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
Answer 2: Our school will give an MAP assessment K-11th two times in a year.
All teachers will be trained before and after test. Teachers will learn how to imply
to the students before test. And they will be trained after test how to understand
the result of the test.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,


technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.

Question 1: How are mobile devices physically secured when not in use, and the
persons responsible for ensuring devices are secured?
Answer 1: School will buy a lockable cart which could be hold 30 chrome books
in it. Teachers will be responsible for the keys and to keep carts locked after
using in classrooms.
Question 2: How are mobile devices secured when not in use, to prevent theft or
damage (including protection from natural or human caused fire/water/physical
damage)?
Answer 2: All parents will buy insurance for chrome books to prevent theft or
damage.
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and
telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
Question 1: What resources are needed for data analysis, management, student

recordkeeping, and home school communication?


Answer 1: School is used database program to keep students grading, home
works, disciple issues, and attendance. All those links will be shared with parents
so they can easy to use.
Question 2: How will parents and community members are able to access school
information from home computers?
Answer 2: All parents will be given school web address and teachers email
address on the Wednesday mail so they can reach to them.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
Question 1: Who will participate in the monitoring and evaluation process?
Answer 1: School IT manager, computer teacher, school administrates (dean of
academic), will participate for evaluation.
Question 2: Who will oversee the data collection, analysis, and program
modification process?

Answer 2: School principal, IT manager, and district IT manger will oversee the
data collection during the program modification process.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
Question 1: How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is
responsible?
Answer 1: It will be done every semester. Our Dean of academics will be
responsible for our school.
Question 2: How will technology success stories be documented and publicized?
Answer 2: Our school will send all the documents to the district central office.
District central office will informed all the documents to the main board. After that
will be publicize on www.hsbdallas.org .
