Please add specific comments about the student teachers observed strengths
during this teaching practicum and identify areas in which you feel further
development is necessary.
Observed Strengths: /
*Questions during the engagement were
specific and direct. Key words from those
questions were defined to ensure students
have a clear understanding of the questions.
*Praises were given throughout the lesson.
*Very patient
* Allowing students to discuss the concept
among themselves.

Areas in which further development is needed:

Improve overall planning and preparation of lesson
Objectives must be written on the board and visible to
all students.
Arrive to class a few minutes earlier to prepare for the
lesson.
Better understanding of the 5Es is needed.
During the explore, students must be given an
opportunity to
exp
the concept of the lesson through some sort of
hands-on activity.
During the explain, both the students and
teacher explain key concepts from the lesson.

Teacher-centered classroom versus Studentcentered. The 21st century classroom demands a

student centered classroom where the students are
taking charge of their own learning. It requires the
teacher taking a lesser role by taking less and allow the
students
to more of the taking. Young children have a very sho
attention span. We must include a variety of activities
throughout the lesson.

Increase the rigor of the classwork through

stimulating activity to improve critical thinking.
General Comments: I look forward to observe a creative lesson where students are actively participatin
in the lesson through hands on activities.

Topic: Food Groups

A video was used to start the lesson and was followed by a series of questions to engage students.
Lesson was followed by a powerpoint which discusses the food groups.
