November 30- December 4 Grade 7 Social Studies Plan

MONDAY

Working in their pairs from last week, students will decide how they will represent their
learning. They will be given a handout depicting what they need to include in the project.
Once they have decided on the form of their project, they will let Mrs. Lewis know, then
start working on this project for the rest of the class.
We will need access to computers for some of the students. Wont know numbers until
they decide what type of project they want to do.

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY

Continue working on representation project

Filler activities will be available for those students who are not participating in this
independent project and for those who finish early

THURSDAY

Reflect on the research process

Write 1-2 paragraphs to answer the following questions
o What did you enjoy the most about this activity?
o What did you not enjoy?
o What was the most difficult part?
o How did you handle this difficulty?
o In addition to what you learned about the 13 colonies, what did you learn about
conducting independent research?
o Would you like to do something like this again?
