Abandoned Farmhouse TP-FASSTT
After reading just the title Abandoned Farmhouse I think that its about an old timey place
where lots of gatherings where held, but is now empty and forgotten. Some questions I have
about the title include me asking Is the Abandoned Farmhouse an actual place? If so, where is
it? What is important about the Abandoned Farmhouse?

The Abandoned Farmhouse is about a man who had a wife and little girl. They lived on the
farmhouse until one day they were not anymore, and nobody knows why.

For Literary devices there is an Enjambment on lines 1-8, Personification on lines 1-2, 9-10, 1213 etc.. There is also Imagery on lines 1 -24. Lines 1-20 explains/describes the people in the
house, and lines 22-24 explains what might have happened to the people.

The poets tone in the Abandoned Farmhouse is mysterious and very descriptive. It makes you
feel not only the poet actually being there, but that you are there as well. The tone is also not
very happy and filled with curiosity and a little bit of confusion.

A major shift in the Abandoned Farmhouse is the subject. This is shown when the narrator is
talking about the man then the wife, and then later talking about the daughter and house area.
There is not a change in speaker or diction, however a slight shift in the readers thought process
about the characters throughout the poem.

The Speaker in the Abandoned Farmhouse is not described, which concludes us to believe that it
is just the narrator talking not an actually person in the poem.

After reading the poem I think that the titles meaning is the location where the family described
in the poem lived before something happened to them. This is why it is abandoned now.

A theme I understood from the poem is to be aware of your surroundings at all time. I got this by
the way they described items in the poem and how that helped them realize new things if they
were lost or wondering what happened to the people who lived there.
