Modeling of the Concept
Make sure students understand addition and subtraction
with two and three digit numbers by assessing answers
to pre-assessment. Give a short mini-lesson with
examples on the board .

Writing- students will copy down examples from minilesson

Give students addition problems split them into groups
of 6 and have them use their bodies to express the
answer to their problem. Complete with one group first
to model how it would look.

Students will be given 5 problems to complete in their
small groups.
Writing- the teacher will take pictures of bodies in shape
of numbers.
