better grasp on the understanding of plants.
DIFFERENTAITION OF INSTRUCTION

Tier One: After an interactive lesson on plants, students will be able to identify different kinds of
plants, by creating their own plant on construction paper, with the overall understanding of what
a plant is. These students will be provided with a variety of pictures of plants to help them decide
on what they want to choose.

plants, by creating their own plant on construction paper, with the overall understanding of what
a plant is.
Tier Three: After an interactive lesson on plants, students will be able to identify different kinds
of plants, by creating their own plant on construction paper, with the overall understanding of
what a plant is. These students will have the opportunity to draw out another plant if they choose
to do so

ASSESMENT

Students will be able to identify different kinds of plants, by creating their own plant on
construction paper, with the overall understanding of what a plant is.
INDEPENENT PRACTICE
After an introductory lesson on plants, each student will draw out what a plant means to them on
a small piece of paper. They will then write out what kind of plant they drew.
FOLLOW UP: DIRECT TEACHER INTERCENION AND ACADEMIC INRICHMENT
Direct Teacher Intervention: Under direct teacher instruction, students that struggled to
understand the lesson will be given different pictures of plants as well as words. Students with
the help of the teacher will match the word with the correct plant, thus increasing their
understanding of plants.
Academic Enrichment: Students requiring higher academic enrichment will be provided with the
opportunity to create their own kind of plant.
