Summary of Implementation:
When it comes to my reading websites being used, the websites that
have the online read childrens books (Read to Me, Starfall, and We Give
Books) I believe could be used for individual reading time, but not for all of
the students. I would have some of my students read paperback/hard cover
books in the designated classroom library area while some listen to and read
along with the online books. These groups will rotate throughout the week
and this way each student will experience reading in two different ways. As

for the websites where students can create their own stories (Starfall and My
Story Maker) I would like to use these sites as maybe a once a month shown-tell project to where students can create their own stories and read them
to their classmates during reading time on a Friday. This gives them
something to look forward to, lets them express their creativity, and builds
their communication & leadership skills with their classmates.
As for my math websites, most of the websites I found were mainly for
games and interactive online worksheets. With that being said these math
websites would be used more for a free time activity during centers or indoor
recess so that the students math skills can be reinforced but it can also be
something they can enjoy doing. I could maybe use the interactive
worksheets as possibly a mini math quiz for the students to complete based
on whatever it is we are covering in math during that time in the semester.
I like the idea of using my content websites for different things,
including free time, reading assignments, or projects. I would use the
website, Time Line Maker, for my students to complete a time line
assignment or project based on learning how time passing causes changes in
our lives during our social studies unit. Within this I would like to include the
website Museum Box from my presentation tools list so that they can also lay
out this information in a presentation form as well. The National Geographic
Young Explorers website, I would use for science articles that my students
could read about whatever content area we are covering in science during
the semester, such as weather, animals, or the solar system. With this, I
think students could use Buncee from my presentation tools list to create a
presentation with some pictures based on their article, a few quotes from the
article, and also maybe include a video they found on their subject to be
interesting that they would like to share with their classmates. My students
would do something like this in groups so that no one student would be
overcome with a lot of work on this presentation since this is a grade level
that they will just be starting out on learning to do these.
