Throughout my college education at the University of North Texas, differentiated
instruction has been a topic stressed by my professors. With differentiating instruction, teachers recognize that their students are diverse learners. It involves effective teaching that provides students with different avenues to learning. Because of the classes I took, I understand I will have students in my future classroom who learns differently or that will have learning disabilities. That being said, I wanted to look further into how I can help students in writing who are dyslexic. I was curious about this question since dyslexia is a language disability. I wondered how I will be able to help a dyslexic student with writing when language is needed. Through my research, I have found how dyslexic students struggle in the classroom and strategies teachers can use in order to help if writing were to be their weaker subject. If you too are curious about this topic, look through my site and explore the various ways I have shared my project through genres. Thanks, -Alex Guzman
