AN ACT Relating to: The allocation of $12,000.00 (twelve thousand dollars) from the Student
Events Pool (6272-0200-03) to for the following events: 1) Mt. Bachelor ski trip for 20 students,
student cost will be $65.00, and includes two nights lodging in Bend and two lift tickets. Breakfasts
will be provided by the motel, students are responsible for all other meals and transportation to
Bend; 2) 50 Timberline Lodge lift tickets costing $43.00 each, to be sold to students at $21.50 each;
3) 50 Mt. Hood Meadows ski lift tickets costing $44.00 each, to be sold to students at $22.00 each;
4) a two-day summer whitewater rafting trip for 18 people, cost to students is $65.00 each and
includes camping gear, rafting gear, professional guides, and meals, students must provide their
own transportation.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE ASWSUV SENATE:

Sec. 1. Allocation of $12,000 for the following events. The cost break down is as follows:
• Mt. Bachelor ski trip. $4000
• Timberline Lodge lift tickets $2500
• Mt. Hood Meadows lift tickets $2500
• Whitewater rafting trip $3000
TOTAL $12,000

STATEMENT OF FACT: In the past, similar events have been hugely successful, and student
demand for future events of this nature is high. Advertisements will read “Co-sponsored by
ASWSUV” in 14-point font or font equal to the average size lettering on the advertisement,
for all advertising for the event(s) as required by ASWSUV By-Laws (260.12). If any of
these events are cancelled due to lack of sign-ups, the money from that event will be used
for a substitute event. All unused monies will be returned to the Student Events Pool.
