Isabellas mother.

My mother came to the Netherlands about 18 years ago. She had met my father
in America on Halloween in a bar. My father was in America because he had to
travel there for his work. He had no idea what Halloween was, but he went to the
bar to get some drinks. There he met my mother, dressed up as a witch together
with my aunt who was dressed as a champagne bottle. He had no idea what was
happening because he had never heard of Halloween in the Netherlands. My
mother went up to him and they started talking. They always say that ever since
they have never been apart. After two years of being together they decided to
travel to the Netherlands and to start their new lives together in another country.
They decided to go to the Netherlands because my father had his job there, and
it was probably going to be hard to find a new job in America. My mother didnt
mind leaving her family behind, as long as she got to visit them regularly. She
stays in touch with her family almost every day but still the long distance can be
hard sometimes. But shes happy she came here because she believes the
education is better here, and it is so much safer to ride your bike and to just be a
kid in this country. Now, we as a family, go to visit America and our family almost
every 3 or 4 years. She didnt come here to look for shelter because of a war or
something, but primarily for love and hope for a nice family.

Article 13

his country.
When the mother of Isabella decided to come to the Netherlands she actually
used one of her human rights, the right to leave any country. She was free to go
to the Netherlands without anyone or anything stopping her. She had one
condition, she wanted to be able to visit her family in America regularly and this
is also one of her human rights, the right to return to the country she came from.

to protection by society and the State.
The mother and father of Isabella also have the right to marry and to found a
family, without any limitations. They decided to go to the Netherlands because
the education was better there and because its safer in the Netherlands.
Article 26.

The parents of Isabella decided to send their daughter to school in the

they have the full right to do so because, Parents have a prior right to choose
the kind of education that shall be given to their children. And because in both
America as in the Netherlands everybody has the right to education which is not
a matter of course in a lot of countrys.

Hugos father
My father was born in 1968 in Lyon in France, and he also grew up there. He is
now 47 years old. He came to the Netherlands in 1995 to with his wife, now
Hugos mother. They met in school in Lyon, France. He studied Mathematics while
in France, in Lille and Lyon.
Now in the Netherlands he works at Hashkoning in Rotterdam. He actually worked
there together with Isabellas father. He works there as a technical engineer, so
what he does is help architects with calculations and dimensions when building or
designing buildings. He feels like he makes less money than some of his coworkers, but it doesnt really matter to him because he still earns enough to
support his family.
My father can speak Dutch, but still has a very thick French accent. He doesnt
feel like hes an outcast or something like that here in the Netherlands. He fits in
well and has a good amount of friends. Hes also used to the culture here in the
Netherlands, which is very different from the culture in France.
The human rights in the story of hugo father. His father says he feels slightly
oppressed by his boss, because he thinks they get paid more, this is unacceptable because the first, the very first article in the declaration of human
rights.
Also, due to the open borders in the European union, his father could travel to the
Netherlands without any problem whats however. Due to the open borders we
get mixed cultures and that is wonderful, but that is my opinion.
Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration,
without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion,
political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.
Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political,
jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person
belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other
limitation of sovereignty.
This means that hugo fathers boos is actually not obeying the rights set for
every human being and that this is equal to discrimination to pay him less.
Although his father makes enough money to support him and their family its still
not fair because of what the article above states, that we are all equal, that is not
the case in his fathers story.

Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders
of each state.
Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to
his country.

This part of the human rights states that movement is free between countries
and you can choose where you want to be, this clearly comes back in the story of
the father. Because he traveled for love, Hugo mother. So he traveled between
France and the Netherlands.
Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent
and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of
any criminal charge against him.
All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal
protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any
discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such
discrimination.
