Objective
Experience
09/09/15 Present
Education 2500 is a course that shows students what it is like to be a teacher. We are given an
introduction to teaching through different ATA workshops, seminar courses, and practicum
experience. We spend twice a week in a classroom, observing with our TAs, and twice a week
in seminar classes, learning the skills, attributes, and issues that are present in the teaching
profession.
Tutoring
2013 Present
I was involved with tutoring while in my grade 12 year in high school. I am very well versed
and help my peers understand/learn new concepts. I am involved with going to a middle
school to help out with afterschool tutoring of the kids as well. I go to the middle school to help
out in my sisters classroom to gain experience and be able to observe her teaching skills, as
well as help out the students.
Micro-Teaching
23/11/15
We had an opportunity while in Education 2500 to pick an important issue in the education
system and create a lesson about this issue for our peers. We were able to evaluate our selves,
as well are receive feedback for our peers about our overall presentation. It gave us an
opportunity to create/plan a lesson and follow through with the carry out of it.
Mathematics Lesson
24/11/15
I was given the opportunity from my practicum teacher advisor, to be able to plan a math
lesson for the third grades kids. I was able to take a look at the behind the scenes work that
goes into planning/ preparing and teaching a lesson. I was able to reach my goal of being able
to have my lesson reach out to all different types of learners. I incorporated a video, notes,
drawings, a game, and partner work.
High School Visitation
27/10/15
The High school visitation was for our education 2500 course. We were able to go into a high
school, observe and participate in a Biology 30 class. We were able to experience different
teaching styles and ask questions based off the higher level of teaching.
Pre-School Classes
2010-2012
I was involved with working for the City of Calgary as an employee, as one of the jobs I had
with them was to help co-teach weekend morning pre-school classes. It was younger children;
ages 2-3 or 5-6, that would come in for arts and crafts or to just build a little separation.

the teaching profession. I work well in team environment, I am able to grasp and maintain the
attention of the room, I am able to stay calm in stressful environments. I respect others around
me and respect the environment that I am apart of. I am responsible, can keep on task, and am

to any commitments that I make for myself.
