PERFORMANCE TASK(S):
Students will show that they really understand by evidence of
- Students will spend time in areas within the classroom that needs leadership
(Accountability, performance, vocally, service, etc)
- Student will be assigned with different head coaches and spend a day
spectating leadership from them.
- Upperclassmen athletes will mentor the underclassmen
- Student will post ideas, thoughts, etc... on a Pinterest board for everyone to see

How will students demonstrate their understanding (meaning-making and transfer)


through complex performance?
Support
- Students will participate in a game demonstrating leadership (Students will
create Index cards with superhero names on them and stick them on other
students their foreheads without them seeing what name they have. The
Students must group themselves together without talking. Object: One person
always has a unique superhero and everyone is a superhero. There should not
be anyone who is in a group by themselves.
- Students will participate in networking night
- Student- Athletes will be assigned with different head coaches and spend a day
spectating leadership from them.
- Student-Athletes will conduct a 1-on-1 interview with a coach based on
leadership.
Spirit
- Student- Athletes will attend a game of each sport in the calendar year and
provide a write up about teamwork
Service
- Student- Athletes will be challenged subconsciously. Ex. Someone is in need of
help which athlete will be the one to help
School
Student- Athletes will re-introduce themselves and be re-introduced to Saint Francis to
show how important leadership in school is. (Define themselves as students first,
Learning what Saint Francis is all about)

Student- Athletes will try to make a connection between school studies and
sports.
