What is a
Landscape Architect?
A landscape Architect combines science
and art to designs and manages our land.
The architect plans for private, commercial
lands , and restoration projects such as parks,
communities, campusus, and damaged land.
Besides creating plan, Landscape architects
will also do site analysis, site inventory, land
planning, planting design, grading, storm water management, sustainable design, construction specification and insuring that all plans
meet the current building codes and local and
federal ordinances.

Education
Needed

Where is the
Employment?
Landscape Architects can be employed
through private, public and academic organizations. Private sector architects will work for
landscape architectural engineering, architectural planning firms and private firms.
Public sector architects work with the government for community projects. Academic organization involve working for schools to teach
students the process of Landscape design.

Landscape Architects are required to get
a Bachelors degree but a Masters degree is
preferred. Once they have complete school,
they are required to get a licence specific for
Landscape Architecture. This license includes
a fee and an exam.
