I am a Senior level transfer student at Humboldt State University and
will obtain a Bachelors Degree in English within one year. My
objective is to gain employment with your business. I plan to provide

I supervised three unit counselors as well as groups of young girls aged 713. I was required to schedule and plan program activities including arts,
crafts, outdoor skills and many more.
My responsibilities included opening and closing the store, brewing
coffee, espresso and tea for the days business, ordering milk and other
products for restocking purposes and shutting down/cleaning of the
machines. I was also responsible for attending to customer needs by
making drinks and filling orders to ensure the best customer service
possible.

I developed an entirely new outdoor nature education program for this


camp. I prepared specific lesson plans for children aged 9-12 which
included a mixture of classroom education as well as nature education
hikes and activities.
As a keyholder I was responsible for opening and closing the store while
ensuring visual standards were always met. I supervised several
associates and was responsible for motivating employees to reach sales
goals. I gained experience with POS systems in addition to safe handling
and deposit preparation.

Girl Scouts
As a Girl Scout for 12 years I gained many valuable skills including
outdoor skills, sales experience, communication as well as many others. I
also gained the Girl Scout Gold Award which involves a community
service project and is the equivalent of becoming and Eagle Scout.
Oral/Written Communication
As an English major I have gained excellent communication skills from
discussions with professors and administrators as well as fellow students.
I am also extremely proficient at research, writing, typing and formatting.
