Research Question: Why do African American Citizens Believe that their Lives Dont Matter?
(Web)
Black Activists Call for Lynching and Hanging of White People and Cops. Breitbart News. 28
Aug. 2015. Web. 27 Oct. 2015.
1. The primary audience for this source would more so lead to African Americans, but also for
everyone too to explain the current issue that is going on in todays Society. The information
meets expectations to my audience because most of them can relate about the issue. This helps
my particular needs as a researcher because it basically helps back my information up. The same
with my other four sources that I have did for my evaluation source; it basically leads to that sort
of audience and to knowledge more of other races about it.
2. This content of source applies to my research project because helps give me ideas for my
bibliographic paper of what I am going to be illustrating.
3. I detect that this source as unsupported claim because the article is making a justification of
how white people and cops should end lynchings from African Americans I think.
4. This article had little accuracy
5. This source is up-to-date since its in October 2015 and since its been publish this month, then
relevancy of this article is valid.
6. Since there is no author I dont see any crediting of this person being an author.
7. I think that the impact has this source had on other scholarship
8. I think the implications I imagine this source will have for future research would fairly be
good enough to use for a research paper.
9. I would rate the overall quality for this source as a 3 because I think it would barely be useful
for my bibliographic paper.

Black Lives Matter Getting Blacks Killed| RealClearPolitics. Black Lives Matter Getting
Blacks Killed| RealClearPolitics. Web. 27 Oct. 2015.
1. This source is the same for the first source Ive explained since they all explain how the lives
of African American citizens dont matter.
2. This content of source applies to my research project because helps support my main idea for
my bibliographic paper relating with murder and my other main idea arrest.
3. I detect that this source is bias because its talking about how the officers are killings Blacks
based off of the color of their skin and their background.
4. This source doesnt have author and have little accuracy.
5. This source is up-to-date because it has been just recently publish in October 2015; therefore
the article is not old and its catching news of whats going on again this year.
6. There wasnt an author for this source as well to make this person to be a considered author.
7. I think that the impact of this source is good since its really up- to- date and many people
have been reading or staying updated with this issue thats been going on for many years.
8. I think the implications I imagine this source will have for future research is for my first main
idea for my paper which is illustrated about murder because it pretty much ties with that.
9. I would rate the overall quality for this source as a 5 because I think it has pretty solid
evidence explaining the issue of whats going on in todays society for the Black culture and it
verifies more information than the other sources Ive used.

Henry, Frances; Tator, Carol. Racism and the University. Canadian Ethnic Studies. October
1994. Print.
1. This source is the same for the first and second source Ive explained since they all explain
how the lives of African American citizens dont matter.
2. This content of source applies to my research project because it supports my main idea with
discrimination and since there is Racism that is going on in universities today, then that will be
some facts to help support my evidence.
3. I detect that this source will be bias because its talking about the unfair treatment that white
people do to African Americans.

4. This source only shows title, authors name, and pub date; also doesnt show any credentials.
5. This source is not up-to-date because its about two decades old since the publishing date was
back in 1994. However, still today this article would still be able to reflect on the current issue
today which is racism in universities.
6. This person sort of wouldnt be an author because this person dont have that much credibility.
7. I think that the impact of this source is fairly good achievement since not so many has viewed
this article, but more people witness it going on during your local news or at a college
themselves. Therefore people is still kind of familiar to the article even if they not have viewed
it, they still know its going on because its happening around their environment.
8. I think this source will have more updated cases like this in Universities because people
basically hear it or see it happening on the news or in person since this a recent thing which
going on today.
9. I would rate the overall quality for this source as a 3 because theres facts/information for this
source, but it doesnt have a lot of facts to explain what about Racism and the University.

(Book)
Morrison, Toni. Remember: The Journal to school integration/ Toni Morrison. Boston:
Houghton Mifflin, 2004. Print.
1. This source is the same for the first and second source Ive explained since they all explain
how the lives of African American citizens dont matter.
2. This content of source applies to my research project because it will help with bibliographic
paper.
3. I detect that this source is bias because of racism dealt with back then in schools.
4. For this source it doesnt give out much credentials or accuracy because it only gives the
name, title, and publish date.
5. I think this source is fairly up-to-date since it was back in 2004 (eleven yrs. Ago) when it was
published. The age of this source is not a big issue in whats going on in the U.S today, but its
still some minor thing related to this that is whats going on in America today.
6. I think this person is to be considered as an author because this person has credentials and
experience.

7. The impact this source when I was checking up for additional information from this book was
that it had good read reviews of this book (four stars).
8. I think this source in the future will help with my main points for paper, but will help find
deeper information/sources for this book topic.
9. I would rate the overall quality for this source as between a 3-4 because the book show me
graphics/images of how integration was back then in the 1960s and how it reflects off of what
going on in today schools now. However, in the book there wasnt much detail explaining whats
going on in the images just a saying in what was going on in the setting.

Roberts, Tom. Confronting White Privilege. National Catholic Reporter. March 2008. p24
1. This source is the same for the first and second source Ive explained since they all explain
how the lives of African American citizens dont matter.
2. This content of source applies to my research project because
3. I detect that this source has to be somewhat bias because since the title is about white
privileges and thats what its going to be talking about majority of the time.
4. For this source it doesnt give much accuracy through the citation because it only gives the
authors name, the title, and publishing date.
5. This source is pretty up-to-date because it was this source has been published since 2008 and
this issue is still going on today.
6. Since this person is a reporter and basically go off of what other people are telling him/her
then I wouldnt consider this person as an author since this person is getting someone elses
information sort of.
7. I think that the impact this source doesnt have much high scholarship because its not a fairly
good source.
8. I think this source will help tie with one of my main ideas for my bibliographic essay.
9. I would rate the overall quality for this source as a 2 because this article basically its not much
information for this source.
