F/P Assessment Information:

All Classroom Teachers - F&P Assessments
Please begin to assess your students with the F&P Benchmark Assessments
beginning on Friday Sept. 25.
Very Important: You will be using only Fiction Assessments. They
are available in the closet outside the Teacher's Lounge.

You will receive a class list on which to record the Instructional

Reading Level (based on Finding Three Levels) and the
Independent Level (one level below the Instructional Level) for each
student when all the students have been entered into ATS.

Please assess any future new admits.

Email any future new admit's Reading Level to Naomi ASAP anytime a
new admit is registered at anytime during the year.

K-5 - the recording sheet for completed, analyzed, and scored

assessments are due to Naomi Laks no later than Oct. 23.

Reminder: There are two fiction assessments for Levels L, M. N. One

set is in BAS 1 and the other in BAS 2 (probably a little more difficult).

There will be extra fiction books in the closet if you need to borrow
because you have BAS 1 and need a higher level or vice versa. Please
sign out for and return these books ASAP.

PLEASE do not take the last few assessments in any level. Put a copy
of the assessment in Ms. Lisanti's mailbox for copying. That's the only
way we know if we are running low on a level.

Ms. Pacella will assess Class 015. Ms. Jones-Gordon and Ms. Channer
will assess Class 506.

K - 2 Classroom Teachers: Literacy Assessments

You will be receiving a class set of recording sheets to record your student's
scores on all the Literacy Assessments. Please be sure to hand in you class'
recording sheets to Naomi by Oct. 7. You will receive them back to use to
inform your small group instruction.
Grades 3 - 5: Literacy Assessments
Once you receive a completed class set of the recording sheets for the
Literacy Assessments from the AIS providers, please hand them in to Naomi
by Oct 7. They will be returned to you for your small group instruction.

this school year?
