Lesson: The Chocolate Touch:

We read the first chapter of
story. We discussed the
character John Midas and
began our lap books. Today
we completed the name plate
portion, while tomorrow we
will begin the section on
character traits.

Lesson: The Chocolate Touch:

We read the second chapter of
the story. We discussed the
chapter and continued the
pages in our lap books. We
created titles for both chapter
one and two because the
chapters are not already titled
in the story. Students finished
cutting and pasting in pages
from the day before.

Lesson: The Chocolate Touch:

I did a mini lesson on
character traits. Students
completed a page in their
language notebook with the
definition of a character trait,
as well as several examples.
Afterwards, we read another
chapter in the story. We
discussed different character
traits that John Midas
embodies and filled out the
character trait piece of our
lap books.

events that have taken place
so far. We also discussed how
the characters traits may be
changing.
