San Diego, CA 92123 Dear Nurse Recruitment, This letter is in response to the RN Residency program at Rady Childrens Hospital San Diego. I am highly interested in this new graduate position due to the comprehensive curriculum and one-on-one preceptor training this renowned program provides. My passion has always been devoted to pediatric care and this hospital not only gives me the ability to practice within that population but also provides the opportunity to explore all the dimensions of pediatric healthcare. I will graduate from the University of Arizona in December 2015 with a baccalaureate degree in Nursing and a minor in Family Studies and Human Development. My GPA is currently 3.55, and I am an active member of the honor society of nursing organization, Beta Mu chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. I discovered my love for pediatric healthcare throughout my pediatric clinical rotation. During my final five-week preceptorship on the pediatric bone marrow transplant unit my passion for oncology care was solidified. This experience taught me the necessary skills needed to perform in this specialized community and allowed me to take on the role of the nurse by providing care for 3-4 acute oncology patients per shift. The mission of this facility greatly reflects my personal belief system connecting to healthcare. The promotion of healthier futures, advancements in medical knowledge, and the working together to better the lives of patients and their families, greatly resonates with me. As demonstrated by my history in working with children this facility possesses the ideal qualities for my future career within the pediatric field. I hope I can be given the opportunity to display my diligent work ethic and devotion to learning. Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to speaking with you in the future.
