I am currently working towards my B.A. in child development and hope to learn

valuable new skills that I can take with me after completion of my final two years at
Chico State followed by a year in the Credential Program at Chico State.
I have enclosed a resume that highlights the knowledge that I have gained through
my training, but there are numerous skills that can only be learned through hours of
hard work and dedication and not from any class. I have learned these skills; I know
how to handle myself during hectic situations, I have the ability to scan the room and
understand where I am needed. I understand managerial duties and am able to
conduct myself in a professional manner at all times. I am excellent in
communicating with others in a way that conveys my meaning and makes them feel
satisfied with the interaction. My work with children has taught me the importance of
choosing words wisely during interactions; especially with someone who may be
reacting negatively during a specific interaction. I am hoping to share my vibrantly
positive attitude with all those I can encounter. I love to help others solve problems or
find answers that they are looking for. Through my employment I have also learned
many clerical skills, such as using word, excel, and politely and properly answering
the phone and taking messages. I take pride in my work and always welcome
constructive criticism so that I can better myself and better what I am putting out
into the world.
I know that there are always new things to learn as well as different ways to complete
a task; because of this I am very flexible in the way that I handle my work. I know
that I possess all the necessary skills and that I am open to learning many new skills
along the way. I am also very excited to become more involved with the campus in
order to both help the campus and school flourish with great help as well as be able
to stay up to date with current things happening both on campus and in the
community.
A personal interview would allow me to demonstrate my talents. I look forward to
hearing from you so that we can schedule a meeting.

Sincerely,

Stormie Lanthier
