Dear Human Resource Manager:
I am very interested in working for Tesla Motors in the position of Vehicle Engineering
Internship/Co-Op. I have always had a passion for the automotive industry, spending many
hours doing all automotive repairs at home, breaks, exhaust, and engine rebuilds. Tesla Motors
is a pioneer in the automotive industry providing an unparalleled product and I would take
great pride in working to accelerate the worlds transition to sustainable transport.
I am studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati with an expected
graduation of May, 2016. I am also in the ACCEND program in the College of Engineering and
Applied Science and I will earn both my Bachelors of Science and Masters of Engineering. I
currently maintain a 3.547/4.0 University GPA and a 3.593/4.0 Major GPA. I have worked two
co-op rotations for GE Aviation and three co-op rotations with Kinetic Vision. In my time with
Kinetic Vision I was able to develop my design skills developing, creating, and assembling
prototypes and test fixtures. I developed CAD skills in SolidWorks and machine shop skills
including a CNC mill and manual lathe. I also have several years of experience volunteering
with a high school FIRST Robotics team mentoring the students in CAD, machining, and robot
design. I am also the drive team coach and strategy team leader. I feel as though my past
involvement in these activities will prove to be a good fit in your company.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss my qualifications at your
earliest convenience. If you have any questions or need additional information, you may reach
me at (513) 504-1416 or by email at oggam@mail.uc.edu.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,

Anthony M. Ogg
