When we read, a good strategy to have is to picture the scene that you are
reading in your mind. Share an image that you had in your head while you
were reading this section with the rest of the group. It doesnt have to be
fancy, stick people will do. It also doesnt have to specifically be from the
book; it can be from the outside world that reminds of you what you read.
Presentation Guidelines:
It is completely up to you how you want to present your illustration. You can
have it drawn prior to the discussion or draw while discussing what it means,
or not explaining your picture at all and letting your group try to figure out
what it is and what it means. Regardless, you have to describe what your
image connects to from the text use specific examples and what inspired it.

Travel is a main component of every quest. Where are the characters, how
are they getting there, and what got in the way during the travel. Your job is
to keep track of where the characters traveled to during this section.
Describe each setting in as much detail as you can using either words,
images, or a copy of the map of Middle Earth found in the front of the room.
You can start with this one sheet, but you will probably need to grab an extra
sheet to keep track of the travels. Make sure to include page numbers and
evidence from text.

Job Description:
Your job is to find quotes and passages for your group to look over and
discuss. The goal is to find the sections that puzzled you, seemed important,
funny, powerful, or interesting the first time you read it and dip deeper into
that text. When you decide on a passage, make a note as to why you chose
that specific passage. You can either share the passage by reading it aloud
yourself, having someone else read it, or have everyone read it together
silently.
