switchknifeisphysicalevidenceofthemurderingofthevictim(22).Furthermore,thedeadbody
ofthevictimfoundstrewnalloverthefloorisphysicalevidenceofamanbeingkilled.Forifno
manwasmurderedtherewouldnotbeadeadbody.Thelastpartofthecardcolorchanging
videoprovesthatthevideowassupposedtobedistractingofthesmalldetailschanged
throughout.Likethewomansshirtchanged,thetableclothcolorchanged,andthebackground
colorchanged,butwasntnoticed.Thevideowasphysicalevidenceofwhatwedopayattention.
Smalldetailsareabletosupportthingsapersonbelievesandsays,becauseitsthesmall
thingsthatcreatepossibilitiesandaffectbigthings.Smalldetailsarenottobeconfusedwith
physicalevidencebecausetheyaremerelysmallthingsthatcanaffectthebigevent.The
physicalevidenceismerelytheproofofthattheeventactuallyhappened.Itsmorelikeachain
ofeventscausedbytheslightestthings,whichiswhytheyareimportant.Forexample,ifweleft
ourshoesstrewnonthefloorintheloungeitmakessensethattheyareputinthecloset.Because
youhaveleftyourshoeslyingaround,thereisthepossibilityofitgettingtakenorputinthe
closetoflostpossessions.Itsalotlikeanoilspillwhichcanbecausedbycarelessness,vandals,

ordamagedequipmentitdamagestheecosystemandsendstheworldintopanic.In

theboyrunningdownthestairs,buttheyliveinatenementthathasbadlightingwhichbrings
upthepossibilitythattheoldmandidntseetheboyrunningheonlythoughtsoorassumedthat
itwastheboy(53).Thisisoneofthesmallestdetailsinthetestimonyandevidenceofthetrial,
becauseofthissmalldetailthebigeffectwouldbethattheoldmandidntseetheboyatall.The
oldmanlied,becauseheassumedthatthetruthwasthattheboykilledhisfatherthatnight.
Beingpersuasivebyusingvalidpointsisusedtoprovewhatapersonsaysorbelieves
becausebysoundingconfidentandusingverygoodpointswhicharesimilartofactsaperson
canseemliketheyknowwhattheyretalkingabout.Validpointsarealotlikesmalldetails,but
validpointsarenotphysicalorfacttheyarejustpossibilitiesthatcouldoccurevenifthey

bifocals.Peoplewhowearglassesorbifocalsdonotweartheirglassestosleeptherefore,she
couldnthavebeenabletoidentifywhomurderedthemanifitwasatnight.Apersonwouldnot
havegrabbedtheirglassesorbifocalsjusttolookoutthewindowatnightespeciallyifshe
turnedjustintimetoseethestabbing(6062).Anotherexampleintherealworld,isthataperson
couldpersuadeotherpeoplethatDonaldTrumpisanarrogantman,becausehehasmaderacist
claimswithnoevidenceandforneverbeingabletoanswerquestionsonhowtosolve
immigrationproblems.Thesevalidpointsmakehimsoundarrogantandlikeabadcandidatefor
thenextU.S.president.ThesearevalidpointsonwhyDonaldTrumpwouldntmakeagood
president,notfacts.MaybeTrumphasevidenceonlatinos,butneverknowshowtoexplainitor
bringitupitismerelyapossibility.Itsalsoalotlikethevideoofwhensomeredcurtains
turnedgold,butnoonenoticedbecausetheyweretoobusylookingatthepeopleandthegorilla.
Bypayingattentiontotheactionapersonmissesthevalidpointsorpossibilities,butitsthese
possibilitiesthatcausethebigaction.Therefore,youwanttobepersuasivebyusingsmallbut
validpointsandpossibilitiestosupportyourcase.
