To be taught on Wednesday, October 21

Topic: This lesson will focus on conflict. This is part of a unit on elements of a story.
Students have already learned about characters. Conflict will be introduced on
Tuesday, so the topic is still relatively new. We will focus on types of conflict man
versus man, man versus nature, man versus society, and man versus self

SOL Information: SOL 6.5 a Identify the elements of a narrative structure,
including setting, character, plot, conflict, and theme

Instructional objectives:
Students will be able to identify type of conflict given an example
Students will be able to examine conflict in their own lives
Students will be able to design a comic strip
