N.p.: PBS News Hour, 2015. Web. 25 Oct. 2015.

This article talks about the potential for who can be the republican presidential candidate.
It goes on to tell you different statistics about the percentages of a few of the candidates who
have the best chances of winning the republican nomination and the general election. It says
Trump and Carson are popular in the primary election, but hurt themselves by sticking their foot
in their mouth. Six in ten republicans say Jeb Bush can win the general election.

This article helps me understand what republicans are looking for in a leader. It is full of
a lot of facts and statistics that helps make an educated guess on who the republican candidate
will be. 77 percent of the republicans say they want an outsider that will help get things done,
which I thought was pretty interesting. I find it strange that someone like Donald Trump is
actually being considered as the potential republican candidate. If you were to have asked
someone that a few years ago, they probably would have laughed.

I know this is a credible source because I found it on a well respected news website. It
may have a little biased to it, but the network itself is credible.

2014. N. pag. Web. 25 Oct. 2015. <http://www.republicanviews.org/what-is-arepublican-republican-definition/>.

This article tells you what being a republican is. The core belief of the republican society
is that each person is responsible for their own place in world. It talks about how the republican
party was started in the 1850s. They chose to be called republicans because of the words allusion
to equality. It also talks about all of their stances on major issues; such as gay marriage, abortion,
education, gun control, and immigration.

I found this article to be very helpful because it talks about how everything got started. It
tells you about the roots of republicanism. It outlines almost everything I wanted to learn about
what it means to be a republican. I was very impressed on how in depth this article goes to
explain all of the little details such as the meaning behind the name. It talks about it in an
unbiased opinion and even has links to each subtitle so I can learn even more on the smaller
subjects.
I know this is a credible cite because it has all of its sources and citations cited so you can
examine them. Its also from the republican organization and they know the true facts about the
republican party

This source is a chart of the differences between democrats and republicans. It states an
unbiased view of the differences between the two parties. It compares abortion, gay marriage,
taxes, immigration, healthcare, foreign policy, and several other topics.

This is a wonderful site because Im able to compare the two political parties. I get to see
how republicans and democrats differ. Everything almost seems like its polar opposites. Its use
is to remind you of what they are fighting for. Sometimes its easy to lose track because of all the
controversy that comes along with it. This website even offers a quiz you can take that will help
determine what side youre on, which I found to be a cool tool.

I know this is a credible source because I found it on a news website. It works with PBS
so I know I can trust it.

This article is about hypocrisy. The effects of hypocrisy in a scandal has been largely
overlooked. The authors used a Quinnipiac University survey study and they determined that
individuals dislike the politician more if they are hypocritical. A hypocritical situation affects
public judgment and makes it more difficult for the politician to fulfill his or her duties.
A lot of politicians tend to be pretty hypocritical. Some will say theyre democrat but use
republican views. I like this article because it talks about how people view hypocritical
situations. I think its strange that it is so overlooked because I would think it would have a major
impact on the voters.

Miles, Matthew R. Polls And Elections Some Folks You Just Cant Reach: The Genetic
Heritability Of Presidential Approval. Presidential Studies Quarterly 45.4 (2015): 760777. Academic Search Complete. Web. 2 Nov. 2015.

This article has to do with presidential approval. We dont know much about how genes
influence political attitudes. A persons biological features influence how they will respond to the
environment they encounter. That includes which political party they choose. Genes help
determine long term and short term politics. Once they find the genomes that control how you
view presidential approval, they can explain how humans evaluate presidential performance.
I was blown away that science is being put into trying to understand politics. The fact that
once we pinpoint the genes that make up our mind on who each individual would choose as
president would make things far less complicated. We could essential find out who America
really wants as president without all of the fuss. I like that we are able to relate two totally

different things, such as politics and science, into one to find common ground. This allows you to
find a deeper meaning behind it.
