Whole group instruction on the geographic origins of various pieces of literature:
The teach will use Google Earth to show the students locations and landmarks important to
literary works. Students will be taking note of this information so as to better construct
their presentations. Each group of students will already have their topic assigned, and be
paying special attention tho their topic, as well as the general information on the other
ones.
Small group preparation of presentations:
Students will break into their groups and begin their work on the presentations. Utilizing
the information they gained from the Google Earth lesson, as well as what they already
knew from their study of the literature, they will make presentations discussing the topic.
Evaluate and Revise
Student Performance:
The student will be graded based on the presentations, but their participation in the lesson
should also be taken into account. When being graded on the presentations, the students
will be evaluated based on how well they worked together and shared the work, as well as
on the accuracy and clear nature of their work.
Instructor Performance:
During class, the teacher should be paying attention to how well the students grasp the
assignment and instruction. If there are too many questions, it is apparent to the teacher
that revision of their approach is necessary. This will be clear during the lesson and group
activities. If the students ask a lot of questions during the lesson, the teacher can adjust and

make the information clearer. If the questions come during the activity, the teacher can
make note for future classes and ensure that the assignment is better explained.
Media Performance:
The media can be evaluated based on its ability to provide the information needed. The
purpose of this media is to provide a more involved way for the information to be conveyed
to students. If this need is not met then the media is not serving its purpose and there
should be changes.
