The application date for BSU is September 22 and ISU is October 1. For ISU they require
a background check and a video of me teaching for my portfolio. BSU deadlines are the
first Friday in February for fall semester admissions. Im not sure which I want to apply
for, Ill probably apply for both. I know that ISU has a program here at CSI, which I am
interested in, but Im getting married in November and my fianc is doing a program here
at CSI through BSU, so we might move up there once I graduate. I havent look at
scholarships yet. I live at home and my parents havent received their taxes back yet so I
havent applied for financial aid.
5. Does your chosen four-year institution require Praxis 1 (or other tests)? What scores are
needed? What are the dates for Praxis 1 (or other tests)? Do these tests have to be completed
before the application deadline? If so, how long does it take to process test scores?

For BSU they require you to take the Praxis 1, for mathematics you have to have a score of
150 or more and writing 162 or more. For ISU Teacher candidates must file an application
for a student teaching internship with the Office of Field Experiences by October 20 for fall
semester of the following year, and by April 20 for spring semester of the following
year. They require the Praxis 1 test and these are the required scores Reading 172, Writing
174, and Mathematics 169. I wasnt able to find if the test was needed before the deadline
but on the Praxis site it said that the scores will be available 10-11 business after test date.
