Lesson 1:
Students will complete Chapter 5 - Exercise 7 (in Principles of Accounting Third edition)
If a student struggles with the exercises, offer them a choice to fix their mistakes and write notes as to where they made
mistakes. If multiple students are struggling, re-teach the area of concern and allow students to try again.

Create the balance sheet/income statement/statement of owners equity from Chapter 5 - Exercises 7/8 (in textbook)
Lesson 5: (3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4)
Review posting entries from the worksheet to balance sheet/income statement/statement of owners equity
Administer How can I use this in my life? worksheet. Have students pair up and exchange ideas. Open up discussion at the class
level.
Lesson 11: (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 4.2)
Talk to students individually about Cruising for Careers handout and aide them in their direction.
Lesson 13: (1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7)
Work through sample budgets and decision making that stems from the budgets
Lesson 15: (2.1, 2.2, 2.3)
Allow students to work on budgeting exercise (Chapter 13 Exercise 26 (in textbook)) in groups of 2-3. Emphasize the need for each
group to make educated decisions from the budget. Each group will present briefly their decisions and rationale.
Lesson 16: (1.1,1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7)
Go over the major concepts from the course including the posting of entries, preparation of a complete worksheet, journalizing and
posting the adjusting and closing entries and the post-closing trial balance.
Have an array of exercises that the students can complete from the textbook.
Lesson 18: (1.1,1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7)
Continue review from previous lesson including having the students take part in a Practice Culmination Task
Culminating Task Starts. Students will have the following 5 days to complete the task
