Response
The final project helped me recognize different writing processes and improve them. A
big one I improved on was clarifying what my point is, I tend to get caught up in my own ideas.
By using some of the example provided by the book, Im able to stay focused on my point. I
know there is still a lot for me to develop as a writer, but I definitely improved a lot. My final
project represents this, in the structure. My paragraphs flow from one paragraph to another
and follow the They Say/ I Say templet (which is probably the most useful thing I learned this
semester).
The They Say/ I Say templet is something I am definitely going to use on all of my future
papers. I am also going to keep the book because all of the templets were very useful. I found
myself going back to the templets a lot at the beginning and now Ive even memorized some.
Another important tool I picked up on was being clear, eliminating the use of it, that and
problem. Ive learned to always write out what you are referring to, otherwise your point might
not come across as clear.
