Abstract
This is the second L4 assignment. The main objective of this
assignment was to evaluate our team and evaluate each individual of
our team, to understand better about performance of our team and our
teammates. For doing this assignment we hold a meeting on
Dec/6/2015 in IE201 building, where we evaluated each member of our
group, also we evaluated our team consensually. In this assignment we
did four important tasks. First, we evaluated our team consensually, to
know the point where our team is strong as well as to find out the
points that our group could improve. Next, we evaluated each group
member in the absence of that member, we did this process for all six
members. Finally, each member evaluated our team individually boy
their own ideas and thinking. After evaluation of team by every
member, we found the average and the final ratings of the team
consensus team process

Work
For doing this assignment, we had a long meeting on Dec/6/2015
in IE201 building. In this assignment we did four important tasks. First,
we evaluated our team together. After that we evaluated each member
of our group. Next, the team is evaluated by each member individually.
Finally we found the average and final rate of team performance.

Discussion
After finishing evaluation of our group by every member, we
used Average Method, where we took the sum of the members' ratings
for each item and divided the results by six, in order to reach to the
consensus ratings. The table shows our final evaluation of the team
which we all agreed upon. Reaching to team consensus is one of the
main objectives for this assignment when we all agree and reach to a

common area recognizing our strengths, being aware of our


weaknesses and try to improve them. In the first rating item, the
average result of the voting was 4. This shows that some of the team
members believe that the team didn't give its maximum power to
become very productive. Members 4 think the team productivity is still
low and that we should increase our work effort in order to become an
outstanding team. In the third item, all of us feel comfortable with each
other. Nobody is shy from the other and the attitude toward each other
is perfect. This is why item 3 got a score of 5, etc...
The areas of team strength are: Encourage each other, if
someone didn't make a task because he didn't understand it, we
encourage him to try his best and try to help him by explaining it more
than one time. Collaborative work in the team, where each member
participates in the given work and the tasks are distributed equally. In
addition, we are comfortable with each other, nobody is shy from the
other and the attitude toward each other is perfect. Furthermore, all of
us seek for the same goals in this course, which are getting a high
grade in the course, learning new techniques of problem solving, and
learning how to work with a team for the first time. The last point is
that we have good communication skills such as talking in front of
crowd and presenting speeches and power points. The areas that can
be improved in the team are: there is a weakness we suffer from which
is coming to meetings sometimes without being prepared. Another
area that we have avoids side conversations in the class or during
meetings.

Individual Team Process Check


In this stage, we will show the individual team process checks.
These process checks were evaluated individually by each member,
which can reflect every member opinion about the team. Each member
had to rate and discusses the points he rated, the areas of strength
and the areas that must be improved.

Discussion
After evaluation of team process check I found out that our team
has changed a lot positively from before. Our team became very
productive and effective from before, because our teammates
understood more about the goal and objectives of the course. In
addition to that our team members became very friendly and we work
cooperatively and collaboratively. If someone has a problem in any
issue, other members of the group help him. Our team has lots of
strength points like being optimist, hard working, good leadership and
etc. Also, we have some points that we should improve like some
students make absences in these days.

Discussion
The second evaluation of our team is very excellent. We
share in our tasks, and respect each other. We have the same goal,
which leads us to achieve our goals and to work properly. We evolve
constantly to work together, and we learn from each other English
language. All members are happy to work together. We have many
things improved in our team as discussion in the class and productive
the team. There are many things have improved and this helped the
team in this course.

Discussion
The above table list illustrates the evaluation of the team for the
second time which is done by member three. We have built very strong
bonds of cohesiveness and relations between each other during being
together in a group, we actually got many experiences and we found
that the productive work requires considerable effort, cooperation,
sincerity, dedication to work, and strengthen the team spirit to produce
the best work. We tried our best to achieve the highest level of success
in this course. However, our team worked very hard on any given
assignment. It is so keen to produce a high quality work in order to
satisfy whoever reads it. Every member in our team enjoyed
participating and doing his best to improve the team performance and
because of that, those members appreciate each other's contributions.

Discussion
Our team is a great team. We work hard together to achieve
our gaols in IE201 course and in our life. We are very productive and
cooperation . Also, we are flexible and appreciate our situations. We

are in good relationship with each other in classes and meeting. We are
helping each other to do our tasks in high quality. We are in a
continuous improvement in all this semester. There are things we need
to improve such as we have a little bit deficiency in applying the
team's rules. Also, we conduct meetings without arranging. We will try
to improve them in the remaining period in this semester to do the
final project in the best way.

Discussion
Reaching to the team consensus is one of the main objects and
being aware of our weakness. After completing this second process
check and depending on the result in our meetings, I think that our
team has become more productive, as I saw in meetings now we take
short time to generate many ideas and we are really comfortable with
each other. We are all on the same track to reach one final goal and by
saying on one track means we work cooperative, contribution, doing
what we expected to do and learn from each other as much as possible
to make a creative work and these points were not present at the
beginning of this course. But there is one bad thing in my team that
need to be improved like attend the classes on time but after taking
this course all the weakness points have been improved upside down
and we become a stronger team by now.

Discussion
There were some points that can be improved in the L4-1 but we
paid attention to them. Though there are new things can be improved
to get the best results. The first on is that we are not living close to
each other. This long distance between us will decrease our physical
contact which will affect the outcome of our work as a team. So I think

we should take advantage of the time and not wasting any minutes
while we are together. So, we will be able to accomplish a lot of work.
The other point is that we dont have enough time to review our work
before submission. Although we make a great work, we still need to
review it to make sure of everything is complete and OK, and there is
no mistakes that could affect the work. Sometimes we took NI due to
small details that we did not pay attention to it. I believe we have to
organize our time and make strict time line for each work that assigned
to team members. Finally, if we follow these instructions, I assure that
our team will be the best team also our work will be great. At the end
of this discussion I mentioned the five areas of team strength with
explanation and how to maintain them. Also, I wrote about two points
that I feel that our team needs to improve them and how can we
improve them. I think the team improved a lot specially the points that
we discussed in the first L4 assignment. This is a great thing in our
team that we correct our mistakes and try to avoid them in the future,
and I hope that we maintain this to help us more during this course.

Team Consensus Individual Process Checks


In this section, we will show the team consensus individual
process checks. For this stage we utilized the method of making

meeting for every 5 members to evaluate the 6 th member and then we


voted and discussed the points we rated, the areas of strength and the
areas that must be improved.

Discussion
Always come prepared for the meetings. Furthermore, he has
good communication skills. For example, he listens to the ideas of
others with open mind. And he criticizes ideas not people. And he
allows only one person to speak. And he participated in resolving a
conflict in L3-B assignment. In the other hand, he is a very active
member, where he asks questions when he confused. And he offers
ideas to the team. Never the less, his ideas do not make him tell
unnecessary examples, which waste the teams time. Another thing
that he always works cooperatively with the team, and he always
avoids unnecessary conversation, and he respects any one even if he
is not present. So, he is responsible for the teams success. Now, we
will move to the additional strength points in Ibrahimi. He is very good
at using Microsoft office word and excel. In addition, he feels the
responsibility, and he is a hardworking and committed student. Never
the less, he has a weakness that he could not improve it, which is he
always gets stuck in his mind. Actually, no one is perfect, and each one
must have some weak points. Moreover, we as a team accept any
weak points that our teammate could not improve it. Moreover, we

think he is going to improve more and more if he continues working as


hard as he is now.

Discussion
Ghassan is one of the intelligent, hard worker and optimist
member of our group. He works cooperatively and effectively in
assignments. Also, he comes prepared and on time to every meeting.

Discussion
In second evaluation, we discovered many strength areas about
Sefatullah. He is a creative person and optimist. He always encourages
our team to be the best team in our class. Also, He has good skills in
English language. He explains and discusses the ideas confidently. He
comes to meetings prepared. He works hard on his tasks. However,
Sefatullah he has many things improved as Resolves conflicts
constructively and Come to class and meeting on time. Also, He
improved in Avoid talking during class. We see Sefatullah has improved
in many things and this improvement has helped us in this course.

Discussion
After evaluating Ammar for second time, he is founded very
polite person, respects every one of us, another good thing in Ammar
is that he is so patient. He is hard worker. Always pays attention in the
class. Although, Ammar got two simple things that needs to be
improved after evaluating. He improved his English much more than

how he was in the beginning but he needs to work on speaking, and he


rarely starts a discussion with us. As a team, we discussed and
explained to him that hard work needs to be discussed with us to
benefit our group.

Discussion
Hani Al-Ghamdi is serious and hard worker. He is well-prepared
student among us in the group. At the end of evaluation process, we
found about three items as strengths of him: He appreciates and
encourages us, he always comes to meetings prepared and he do all of
his best in the work. On the other hand, we came up with two weak
areas, which can be improved in future such as: He has many absences
and late in class during this semester. Also, he sometime doesnt pay
attention when instructor explains something.

Anas is a very good team member, he share his ideas with the
team members. Another thing he is tidy on his work. On the other
hand, he should improve his time management.

Conclusion
Team process check is one of the essential and important task for
success of a group. Here is the place where we can know the
performance of our group whether its going positive or negative. We
discussed and talked over the areas, which our team is strong in, and
the areas which our team must to be improved in. In addition, we have
found out a lot essential details about each member for instance, the
strength areas of each member and the weak areas that he has to be
improved in. After evaluation we found out that our team has changed
positive from the beginning of the class, this shows the hard working
and working cooperatively of team members. This assignment
enhanced our ability how to gather and analyze the information, when
you need them to be collected.
