FHS 2500 Activity/ Lesson Plan: ONE HOUR BLOCK

PART 1: Preparing the Activity and Planning for Implementation


Fall 2015
Lab Assignment week 10: Implement 1-Hour Block (see Process Guidelines for submission and evaluation due dates) - You and your lab
instructor will identify a 1-hour block of time when you will be in complete control of the classroom. This time will be for a full hour of open center
time. You will plan, prepare, and facilitate all activities, self-help skills, behaviors, etc. The lab instructor and other lab students will assist you. Use
corresponding Activity Plan Form. Hand plan in as hard copy, not in Canvas. Due 10/7/15

Behavioral Objectives (Minimum of 3; for 3 separate activities)


1. The children will practice their hand/eye coordination
2. The children will pop bubbles with a pipe cleaner
3. When I blow bubbles for the children, they will pop the bubbles with a pipe cleaner 5 times.
4. I will demonstrate to the children how to pop the bubbles with a pipe cleaner.

The children will follow directions


The children will participate in the song the Hokey Pokey
When the teachers sing the Hokey Pokey the children will follow the directions throughout the song.
I will do the actions of the Hokey Pokey with the children.

The children will practice jumping with both feet off of the floor.
The children will be able to jump with both feet off of the floor.
When I line of tape is placed on the floor the children will jump over the tape with both feet off the floor 3 times.
I will demonstrate how to jump over the tape.

Planning for Implementation


What materials do you need to supply? Bubbles, windmills, tape, pipe cleaners

What materials would you like to have the lab school supply? Floam, books.
