Third generation missionaries

Beths birthday was at the

beginning of November. Thank
you to all who sent cards or
messages to her!

When visited Panama back in May,
we really enjoyed getting to know the
country that will soon be our home.

Panama is a beautiful country full
of jungles, mountains, and beaches. It's
a modern country with a booming
economy that still retains deep
historical and cultural roots. Located
between Costa Rica and Colombia,
Panama is home to 3.6 million people
and boasts 7 different indigenous
people groups. It is known for its world
famous coffee and for the Panama
Canal which links the Caribbean Sea
and the Pacific Ocean.

Thank you to all who have been praying

for Beths mom, Erine Watts, and her cancer.
We are thrilled to tell you that she
recently had a scan and the doctor has
declared that she is officially in
remission again! Praise God for His healing!
This was her second time with cancer. Please
pray that it will not return.

As we have mentioned before, we
will be working with the Ngbe people.
Their language is called Ngbere. They
currently have a portion of the Bible
translated in their language- the New
Testament. However, they do not have
the Old Testament. Without that, you
miss so much of what the Bible teaches!
*Who are the people mentioned in the
lineage of Christ?
*Who are the prophets and people that
are being referenced?
*What exactly is the law?
*Why is there a new covenant and why
was it needed?

You may be able to figure out some
things without the Old Testament, but
you certainly cant appreciate all of the
Bibles depth without the complete book.

While we are not opposed to the
idea of translation work, we do not think
that it is wise to take this on in addition
to the rest of our church planting
responsibilities. We are praying
specifically about someone to come
and work with us and to translate
the whole Bible for the Ngbe. Please
pray about this with us.

In a recent newsletter, we told you that our friend Efran

accepted Christ. We had been praying fervently for his parents to be
saved as well. A few weeks ago, Efrans dad got very sick and was
hospitalized. Efran was quite concerned and witnessed to his dad
repeatedly, and took the pastor to visit him as well. After several
times, Efrans dad realized that only Christ is sufficient for
salvation and Efran led him to the Lord! Then just two days later,
his dad died. Please pray for peace and for his mom to be saved.
