mindset

Lena
Computer Science is used in many things nowadays. Phones, cameras, Tvs, Cars uses
programming in order to function properly.
1) Journal Articles
One of the articles talks how textbooks are outdated and not 100% reliable.
The other articles talks about the teaching of CS in schools.
First article has some lexis that is relevant to the field. It is mostly understood by CS majors.
The other two articles are talking broadly about CS. It is understood by any audience.
The three articles about my major doesnt have much diagrams, tables, charts, and pictures.
The articles only contain one chart and diagram. It is mostly text that are separated by
headers.

Lena
2)Textbook: Fundamentals of Computer Graphics
The books is about computer graphics and visualization. It is about the different functions and
tools of images in a computer.
The textbook contains lots of diagrams and graphs. In Addition to the texts, it has a bunch of
code explaining the process of implementing certain functions.
To fully understand the book and the material, you need previous knowledge on coding.

Lena
3) Interviews: Daniel
Professor at Purdue under the Graphics and Visualization track.
Initially started with Physics but switches to CS.
A member of Graphics team in college.
He wrote his thesis and research on designing Computer Graphics.
Biggest obstacle he faces is the changing of the materials of CS. As time goes on CS evolves.
A person needs to adapt and motivate the change in order to succeed in this field.
In his years of CS study, he saw the interaction and how CS compliments other fields. As he
said, CS helps build infrastructures or come up with tools to help some other fields.

Discourse Conventions Similarities and
