In Malaysia, there have two types of towers buildings that are very famous in the worlds.
They are Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) and Kuala Lumpur Twin Tower ( also known
as Petronas Twin Tower). They are particularly known as the symbol of Kuala Lumpur.
They also have been category in the other tall buildings besides Tokyo Skytree in
Japan, Burj Khalifa in Dubai. There are many types of their parts that can be compare.
The parts that can be compared are the setting located, structural, materials and the
usage of the buildings.
First of all, Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) is located at the middle of the Kuala
Lumpur parks and near to the city. However, Petronas Twin Tower is located at Jalan
Bukit Nanas, in the middle federal city of Kuala Lumpur. KL Tower is built up of 1379
inches tall and Petronas Twin Tower is in 451.9 metres height. KL Tower have been
completed construct on first of March in 1995 by Kumpulan Senireka, the local
architecture firm. On 1st March in 1996, Petronas Twin Tower had been done to
organise. It was construct designed by Cesar Pelli, an architect from America. KL Tower
and Petronas Twin Tower have different structural. The KL Tower have five basic
section of structural. The structural of it is follow to the traditional of Islamic design. It is
conclude to the Islamic architectural heritage. Most probably inside of the building is
more like at the space. While,the Petronas Twin Tower is the postmodern style of
design. On each design, it contained the Islamic art. The twin building is combined with

a strong structure of skybridge. The two building is designed in circular sectors that
follow to the Rub el Hizb, the Islamic design of cross-section.
Moreover, there is the types of materials that can compare in both of the
buildings. The KL Tower is build up with the strong concrete. Locally the building is
constructing with glass-clad domes. The domes are too big and very beautiful. It looks
like a giant of diamonds with sparkling. It quietly looks more arrogant of building. This
material can attract the visitors of the building. The domes is arranged by follow the
Murqanas style. It have been crafted by Iranian craftmen. And, the Petronas Twin
Tower is constructed with high-strength concrete that to make the building more
strongly. This building is used with the concrete cores and a sophisticated structural
system. This building also is built up with curtain wall of glass and stainless steel sun
shades. These materials are to protect from sunlight.
Lastly, the things that can be compare is the usage of the buildings. The KL
Tower probably for the free-to-air broadcast of television and radio stations. This is
because of the antenna on top of the building. This building also for the tourism. It
already known as landmark and the symbol of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. From the
high space of the tower, we can see the whole of the federal territories. This building
also have some local small stalls. They usually sell the local things such as craf things,
souvenirs and gift. However, the Petronas Twin Tower is also tourism such as Aquaria
KLCC. In there also have many shopping mall, services and tourist guide. The Petronas
Twin Tower have attraction of settings. Most probably the building quite always rousing
with tourist. In this building also have officers. It usually have both type of the office such

as private and government offices. The building is officially known as commercial and
government building. The Petronas office also located in the tower.
In conclusion, this both of the buildings is quietly known as the symbol of the
Malaysia. The buildings are have different things that can be compared. However, the
location of this both buildings is in the city of Kuala Lumpur federal. The buildings most
of it have their own design depend to the site and the creature.
