COURSE OBJECTIVES
CENTRO COLOMBO AMERICANO ADULT PROGRAM
OBJECTIVES
Level competences: Learners understand and produce simple, complete
and meaningful texts to communicate and interact with others in an
oral and written way about topics related to people around them,
interests, health, places and celebrations, travel, life at home, technology,
past experiences, and plans. During this stage, learners reflect on, inquire,
share, and learn to value different elements of their personal and cultural
identity as well as those of other people. At the same time, they gain more
confidence and motivation to learn the English language as they are more
familiar with it. (courses 5-8 A2)
Course competences: Learners understand different types of texts
related to topics such as celebrations, memories, and places in a town.
They can produce meaningful complete texts to interact with others in oral and
written ways by experimenting with the forms of the language (grammar,
vocabulary, pronunciation). During this course, students explore how people
celebrate special days in different cultures and share information about their
lives as children or teenagers which allow them to question and reflect on their
own cultural traditions and life experiences.
