Requirements
Multiple PCs
The company need two tower computers and two laptops within one office. They all
need to be connected up to each other in a LAN and need access to files that are
other employees users. So in total there will need to be 8 computers and 8 laptops
that will all need the employees users on them to be able to access all the files on
the LAN across the whole company.
Multiple Users
As I said in the past segment all the users will need accounts on the LAN network to
be able to access all of the required folders. These users will need to have restricted
access to what their role in the company is.
Multiple Folders
Every user on the network will need to have their own separate folder to store all
their projects they are working on, also they will need a shared folder so that all the
users on the network will have access to the work that has been put on the shared
folder.
Multiple Storage Locations
For a network to be optimum it will need to have storage and because they are a
photography company they will need a lot of it, so this is going to require a server or
cloud storage. This will allow them to store data and be able to back-up the data.
There will need to be at least 4 servers.

Purpose
Fast enough?
Depending on location most companies should have high internet speeds. The
employees will be using various applications within the network department. The
internet will need to be suitable for the clients and the users needs, so that we can
adapt to their needs.
Reasonable costs?
The costs will mostly be the computers on the network, they will generally be used
for long term use, so they will need good hardware that will not degrade over time
and not crash because they would then lose their data that they were working at that
time. The computers will also need to meet the users needs and because they are a
photography company the computers will need to be of high standard, because they
will be using applications such as Photoshop. Below is a Table to show the costs of
the computers to be able to run the applications that are needed and the storage.
Also a server that will be able to read/write at 6Gb/s this ties into the fast enough

part. Also there is Gigabit shielded network Ethernet cable to also increase the
speed of the network.

Good enough for each type of user?

In my last section I explained how the users needed a decent computer to be able to
run all their applications and not have a slow connection and file transfer. I believe
that with the equipment that I have listed above that the network will be able to run
quickly and efficiently and also be able to run all the needed applications that the
users will need e.g. Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Aftereffects.
