Transition to Body

Learning Activity
#1

-Put students in groups of 3 to share the paint (They will decide on what
three colors they want to color the bulbs-Choice between: Green, Red,
Blue, Yellow)
-Ask two people to hand out bulb drawings (we will paint the bulbs
first)
-Ask two people to hand out black construction paper
-Get pastels (share these as well if there is not enough)
Body
We will go through step #1-2 together as a class first:
Step #1: Students will draw the accent on the bulb so they dont paint over
it.
Step #2: Students will paint the bulbs
-Let the bulbs dry
Step #3: As their bulbs are drying, students will make the simple
background
-Using a black sheet of construction paper and oil pastels to make the pine
branches.
Step #4: Cut out your circles and glue them on, leaving enough space to
add the ornament hangers. (use pastels to create the hangers: Silver? Gold?
Red?)
Step #5: decorate! Add things to the paper to make it look nice and festive!
(Snowmen? Snow falling? Stars? People? Christmas tree?)
