Elephants Weekly Newsletter

Week 2,
Friday 2nd October 2015

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had another great week in year 6. The children have started the new topic on World
War II and have begun reading Goodnight Mr Tom for their literacy unit. They are all very
enthusiastic about the new topic which is fantastic.
Just a reminder.
PE

Your child has PE on Monday and Fridays every week.

Your child should wear their PE kit to school on Monday
and Fridays.

Class Assemblies

These will be on Tuesday mornings at 9am. All parents

are welcome to attend. Our class assembly will be on
remembrance day and WW2 and will take place on
Wednesday 11th November. I will remind you again
nearer the time.
Students need to make sure they are wearing full school
uniform each day, including appropriate shoes. Please
ensure that ALL items of clothing are clearly labeled
with your childs first and last name.
Year 6 will be going to the Imperial War Museum on
Thursday 15th October and will be learning about the
First and Second World Wars. I will send out a consent
letter about this next week.

Uniform
