Have students discuss in
groups of 3 what the video
was about, what social
networks were mentioned,
and what are 1-2 interesting
things that they learned from
watching the video.
Teacher has groups say their
answers/tell what they talked
about.

In groups, have students ask

each other the following
questions:
- What social networks
do you use?
- Compare them: what
social networks do
you like/dislike?
- What is your
favorite/preferred
social network?
- How much time do
spend using social
networks?
Teacher walks around the
class answering questions
and hearing what they talk
about. After students are
done, they present to the
class what social network
each person in the group
uses the most and how much
time they spend on it per day.
Teacher makes graph on
board to reflect how much
time each student spends on
social networks each day.
Students write a short
paragraph, expressing what
their favorite social network
is and why, comparing it to

Materials: none
I will need: whiteboard, doc cam, computer/projector
Limitations: almost no target culture. But we will go into more culture-related things in
the next lesson when we go more in depth on the social network presentations since they
will be social networks that are popular in Francophone countries.
