Christianity and Paganism
All around the world various religions are practiced. Some very popular, and some not so
popular. Multiple religions of different belief, faiths, and a few similarities have taken a common
interest all over the world. Christianity and Paganism are two of the many that are often
questionable. The idea of Religion has evolved over the years. From just one common religion in
which everybody followed, to a variety from different cultures, different regions, and different
ethnicities. For example Christianity, a monotheistic religion which believes in one Omnipotent
God, his spirit and son and Paganism describes a group of contemporary religions based on a
reverence for nature (paganism).
Christianity is a religion that is also a life style. The ideal Christian life style consists of
accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as well as walking the footsteps of the lord. For example What
would Jesus do? Charles Sheldon childrens book to remind people, predominately children to
walk the footsteps and live a life where you would be demonstrating the love for Jesus. Before
Jesus was crucified he lived on earth as Gods Son preached that we should live sinless lives
as well as believing in his father God. In John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only son, that who so ever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans
4:25 states He was delivered over to death (Crucifixion) for our sins and was raised to life for
our justification.

Paganism is a religion that believes in the reverence of nature (Beliefs), and does not
have a creator but dwells on the creation of the earth and is said to believe in the divine of many
forms which could be said to be Polytheistic, belief in more than one god or being and the cycle
of life and death (Nature). The Pagans also believe in the equality of man and women. The divine
being is looked at from a feminine and masculine perception giving the Divine Being no
gender or non-binary. Almost 57,000 England and Wales identify themselves as pagan. (Religion
and Ethics)
Pagans and Christians are very similar in their religions, and in their lives. For example
Christians worship in The house of God which are called churches and Pagans worship their
gods, and goddess outside its the same kind of dedication, adoration, ministration, but just in
different places, and different high beings (pagan worship). Pagans and Christians also have the
same ceremonial ideas such as weddings. A pagan wedding is called at Hand fasting where by
two partners would be committed to each other in a formal, loving, equal, and sexual partnership
(pagan weddings) somewhat like the Christians where by man and women would get married,
before god in a church they would not engage in any sexual activity until wedded, and its very
important to have a wedding in a church do to the belief thats where youd receive Gods
blessing. (Christian Weddings)
In conclusion, Christianity a Paganism are two very interesting religions. They share
many similarities, but do contrast on a belief level. Pagans are very true to their religions, and
some practice Paganism very strictly, as for Christianity many who claim the religion by birth or
conversion, some people do not actively practice it. Although they believe in its faiths, and all
that lies within the religion.
