Bullying:

A report by Tyrell G. & Lanea B.

Internet Definition
Bully- a person who uses strength or
power to harm or intimidate someone,
typically to force them into doing
something that one wants.

what is bullying?

WNHS Definition
Any intentional written, verbal,
electronic, or physical act that a
student or group of students exhibits
toward another particular student(s)more
than once and the behavior both causes
mental or physical harm to the other
student(s) and is sufficiently severe,
persistent, or pervasive that it creates
an intimidating, threatening, or abusive
educational environment for the other
student(s)

Different types
of bullying:

Physical Bullying

Verbal Bullying

hitting, kicking, shoving

name-calling

Cyberbullying
harmful posts, or
messages sent

Relational Aggression
damages someone's
relationship or social
status

Sexual Bullying

can be started by sexting

Prejudicial Bullying
people who bully others
based or race, religion,
and sexual orientation

School consequences:

Lunch Detention
Half-day ALC
Full-day ALC
In school suspension
Out of school suspension
Expulsion

Why we think the

school consequences
are inefficient:

We believe that the

schools consequences are
too lenient. The same
consequences that they
give out to people for
bullying, can be given
out to people who have
been tardy to school or
class. Students who skip
school, or any other
deviant acts. We believe
that the students aren't
really learning what
theyve done wrong,
because the consequences
are easy to handle.

our consequences:

Our goal would be to start

a program for people who
commit deviant acts. For
bullies, they would be
taught how it affects
victims. Within the
program, a mission to stop
bullying (and other
deviant acts).

Resolution:
Why do we think this
consequence will better
the school?
The program will be so
informative that people
who perform deviant acts
will want to spread
prevention.
