Itwas a pleasure speaking with you last week. Attached please find the Kent Conservation District approval and site plan
for ten (10) poultry houses and two (2) manure buildings to be constructed at 1735 Woodyard Road in Harrington, DE
(Kent County Tax Map 6-00-20000-01-0200-00001). We're requesting approval from the Delaware Department of
Agricultural to obtain a building permit for the purposed project. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact

Dear Mr. Gujar,
This letter serves as an official notification of your responsibility to complete a CAFO NPDES Permit application for the
construction of new poultry houses at 1735 Woodyard Road, Harrington, DE 19952. In accordance with 7 Del. Admin
C. §7201-9.5.7.0 of the CAFO Regulations, a Notice of Intent (NOD) to serve as the official application for CAFO
NPDES Permit coverage must be completed for new construction poultry farms on or after November 10, 2011. Please
find the attached NOI, complete the necessary information and return the original document to the Delaware Department
of Agriculture in the return envelope provided. Retain a copy for your records.
Please note that there will be certain information that is requested on the NOI that you will not be able to complete until
your Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) is fully implemented for the new operation. Please follow the instructions

Animal Type: Please record as Chickens.
Total Animals Confined: Please record the total bird capacity of the farm per flock.
Annual Manure Generation: ‘This number is reflected in the NMP. (Leave blank for now)
Type of Manure Storage Facility: Please record as Roofed Sheds
Manure Storage Capacity: This number is reflected in the NMP. (Leave blank for now)
Tons or gallons of Manure Exported Annually: This number is reflected in the NMP. (Leave blank for now)
Animal Mortality System: Please record as Composters.
Please check N/A for Process Wastewater system. Please check the box near the bottom of the page above the signature
line indicating that the NMP will be mailed to the address or dropped off at the Department of Agriculture once updated
to meet the 2011 CAFO regulations. Once the Kent Conservation District or a certified Delaware nutrient consultant
completes the NMP, the NOI can be completed in its entirety.
Please return the completed and signed NOI to the Delaware Department of Agriculture within 21 days of the date of
this letter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or my staff.
