Aboriginal Nahaganset Nation, has officially declared a “Day of Reversion” at Mashapaug Pond

and due to the Tribe's historic significance to and relationship with the territory,

Mashapaug Pond is properly reconstituted to its healthy and productive environmental state,
creating a sustainable habitat for the local wildlife and surrounding local community.

for the Nahaganset people has begun.
